The Persian Empire spanned from Egypt in the west to Turkey in the north, and through Mesopotamia to the Indus River in the east. Some of the leaders of the Persian empire was Cambyses, Cyrus and Shapur the first and second. Through out most of the Persian was a lot of gorilla warfare was going on. Their Weapons of choice included axis and spears and they wore lots of armor including shield and the Persian helmet. Their were three intense battles, Marathon, Thermopylae and salamis. the Marathon was a war fought for the Persian closing the Greek capital. The battle of Thermopylae was the first between the Persians
and Greeks during the Persian invasion of 480-479 BC. The Greek force was very
small but was determined to make a stand against the huge Persian army.
